23-on-23 - Saturday Febrary 23, 2019

Saturday the 23rd is coming!

So dust off the 23cm gear and get on air.

Due to the planned MAD in South East VK4, I suggest that this activation event remain consistent with weekday activation sessions.

Operations could be conducted as follows:
Start time: 10:00z / 8:00pm AEST / 9:00pm ADST
QRG: 1,296.100MHz

Digital and 2,403MHz
Start time: 11:00z / 9:00pm AEST
23cm QRG: 1,296.225MHz (Mode JT65)
13cm QRG: 2,403.100MHz USB

These events are designed to develop the level of activity on 23cm and above amateur bands.

Please do not hesitate to share with others who you know have capability and see if we can continue to grow the numbers of participating stations. :!:

Activity is not limited to stations within SE VK4, and the growing contingent from VK2. Everyone is very welcome to participate. Please share and promote on other FB pages.

As is often proven, if the participating stations are unaware of your operation, there is a high likelihood that you won’t be worked. [Quite simple and very logical really!] Please take a moment to share advice of your participation here, and on the night log into VKLogger.com on the evening and the ‘23&Above’ iChat page, so that attention to 'exploiting' the path can be achieved.

Saturday night will be 50/50 for me as most of the gear will be packed for the Sundays MAD. If I get a good bit of notice on here and on other forums that there will be a few on air for the Saturday night then I will go for the short drive up to Buderim and just run 23cm as the gear will already be in the car. No point in me trying 23cm from home as I know I can't get out on 23cm from my home QTH.

I will not be available for this month's 23 on 23 because of a continuing debilitating medical problem.
Maybe in March!

I will be available tonight on 23 cm & 13 cm with 2400.100 MHz much preferred over 2403.100 MHz.
Looking forward to some activity!

I've now got my 23cm equipment running using a G4DDK Anglian 2m intermediate transverter into a 28 MHz IF transceiver.
I also expect to be operational on 23cm only from about 10:00z tonight from my home location (QG62LO). I'll have VKLOGGER running, as well as using an SDR for band monitoring.
