Re: Ex-Commercial Radios On 6m ?

G'day all, Thanks for all the replies, heaps of good info there from everyone !! Eventually I can see myself getting an all mode HF/VHF/UHF rig and then try to sell the rigs I have at the moment. But I like taking little steps and fiddling along the way :) I'll definately keep an eye out for one of ...

Ex-Commercial Radios On 6m ?

G'day All, I've been thinking about getting on 6m and try out this 'magic band' for a while now. Being the fiddling type (and a bit of a cheapy!) Re: Building DL6WU yagi's

I've put together a DL6WU 2m yagi and it seems to work quite well - considering I haven't put a balun on it yet  I've got two questions though. The first is regarding the balun, in the pic below you can see the two shields are terminated together and then grounded (presumabily to the boom), w...

Re: 2m and 70cm dual band home brew design.

This seems like a great little antenna, and one that I'll put on the list to build. I'm new to LDP's but is it possible to increase the boom size and add more elements to increase the gain on both bands? 1m boom length is quite small, if it's possible to use this design on a 2m boom it'd be interest...
