Re: Grampians 70cm linked repeater system update

G'day all, Latest update now includes new repeaters at Warrnambool and Albury. There is now an MMDVM based multi-mode 70cm repeater in Geelong/Belmont. The existing MMDVM based multi-mode 70cm on Mt Buninyong has recently received a minor tweak. There's more work planned in the coming months. Latest...

Re: ACMA IFC 27 June

G'day Richard, It's interesting reading... here's my summary after a quick read... The 3GHz band continues to be under the pump, but 3.3 - 3.4GHz still there... but with the proliferation of new 5G telco networks, this band will always be under pressure, depends on where you reside/live/operate. Rel...

Re: My Pi Journey

G'day Peter, Sorry to hear about your fire - hopefully it wasn't fire pit related like mine a couple of years ago at 2am one night while I was tucked up in bed. Thank goodness for two smoke alarms (otherwise I wouldn't be here typing this) and insurance on a three year old house... Re the Pi4...

G'day Hayden,

Nice video, it states the obvious, but it needs to be stated...

One of your points is great... have someone else give a second opinion... there's usually no shortage of those!

Re: Icom IC-9700 users topic

G'day Steve, I accept your comments and perspective. I've been keeping a close interest in what Rex and Glen (and others) have found and what's in development. Great news for the Whisperers, FT8'ers, etc. But I'll take a difference tact and is a personal view... Look what the IC-9700 is doing to the...

IC-9100 no TX audio fault & a fix

G'day All, I saw an interesting fault on my IC-9100 tonight. I've had this rig since about 2013 (inc 23cm & DStar options) and have regularly used it remotely from around VK3 via the BA1 remote client. One of the shack PC's is on 24/7 as is this rig for remote access. Been running fine for a few yea...

Re: MAD - Sunday March 24, 2019

G'day Adam, I'll concur with Rex's comments about the logger. One of the main features I'll miss is the up to date repeater & beacon database. It's been a great live database - much more accurate, reliable and live, than anything else we've seen. It's been easy to keep up to date and easily relied u...

Re: Grampians 70cm linked repeater system update

G'day All, Latest update re the RBA linked repeater network. We now have the whole system permalinked to IRLP REF 9503. What this means is that if you are out of range of the RBA linked network, but are nearby a local IRLP node, that you can connect to the RBA network via IRLP by connecting to Refle...

G'day Adam, On the VK Logger repeater list, there is an existing entry for a 2m repeater on VK2RWB. Can you please place an additional entry for VK2RWB for a new 70cm repeater on the same site: VK2RWB Mt Gwynne NSW Output: 439.650 Input: 434.650 CTCSS: 123Hz And I'll finish off the rest of the detai...
