Re: VK Maritime Mobile

P&O, Princess CL and HAL will give permission if asked. I operated JMMFD from the "Sun Princess"

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity do not allow it

HF antennas on Mazda BT50

As indicated by the subject, I am looking for any information regarding how you have done your installion.
I have the Mazda alloy bullbar and a fibreglass canopy.
Has anyone had problems with RFI with regards to computer or the 3.2L 5cyl diesel?

Thanks

Re: Nokia "TTRX" - Tetra Transmitter / Receiver

Old post, but I know I won't do anything with mine now.
It is the complete unit with Heatsink - I have never opened or applied power.
I have two 28V@300W power supplies also.

If anyone is interested email me via mycallsign@wia.org.au

When the target was not met, I asked what was 'Plan B' because I was happy to wait a while, but the money was back in my account within a few days.

Re: VK9ZYX

One last thing - I have a fairly poor image of the VK9ZYX QSL card sent to me by a JA. Do you still have a card that could be scanned (back and front) to replace the one currently displayed in Club Log? Thanks again. 73 Alan 5B4AHJ Sorry Alan, I don't have anything from the time. Re: VK9ZYX

That would be me Alan, I was employed on Cocos (Keeling) Island from approx April '81- April '83. Besides a couple of 2m QSO's with a member of the Clunies-Ross family on Home Island, all other QSO's were on 52-54MHz. With 6m I worked about 800 J's and I think I had 2 QSO's each to VK8 and KH6. If I...

Re: RD and ILLW conflict

I had no problem working it as a RD/ILLW/VKFF/WWFF/Field day and I had FUN. :D
And I will try and find another Lighthouse to do it with RD again next year (hopefully in another NP) :D

G'day Danny,
I decided it would give me a 2nd rx in the shack, so went for the 139dB version

Thanks

Hi Andy, I will be listening out 4 u from Cave Point Lighthouse near Albany WA. I will also be RD'ing and the Lighthouse is in Torndirrup NP, so it will also be a VKFF/WWFF activation. Pity it isn't a SOTA summit :)

Good luck & 73

Re: HF Antenna on Pajero

Here is a pic Erwin. It is actually 25x40 tube with the angle on top. There is also another piece (with the leaf on it) that is just a spacer to keep the wheel even. I still haven't used it with the VK2CD screwdriver, although I have had the screwdriver mounted on it while travelling without any pro...

Re: HF Antenna on Pajero

Hi Erwin, My pajero is a '99 wagon and it does have a bullbar, but I wanted mine at the back. I made an RHS frame from 30mm Duragal, that fits between the spare wheel holder and the door. This extends above the spare wheel and has a piece of 50mm Duragal angle set horizontally to take HF/VHF antenna...
