Re: 23 on 23: Tuesday July 23rd 2019

Hi Scott,
The Western Sydney Microwave Group will be on air as usual from QF56if and neighbouring squares

I'll make a point of sending some JT65 on 1296 your way :)

We should have 5 or more stations with 23 & 13cm on air if people want to beam our way.

cheers

Re: Icom IC-9700 users topic

Adam will have to resurrect his Mutli-send kit for this radio too. No PTT per band on any of its ACC sockets either ! I'm well ahead of the curve! Started developing a solution back over 12 months ago, known as the SEQ-9700. Awesome! One question.... will it be backward compatible with the IC-910 ?...

Re: VK1RGI seen in QF56if

Hi all, Been watching the beacon all day with SL. see included pic. I've also updated my Spectrum Lab config file. I now use the Long Term Averaging facility to get the beacon out of the noise. This also allows me to capture the actual frequency of the beacon with the peakrf() function and show that...

Re: New from Analog the ADF4371 62Mhz - 32Ghz Synthesizer

Apologies I got the model number slightly wrong. Search for CMA382400AUP which is the full model and there are a few on eBay for US$56 at the moment. They are very popular on 76GHz and 122GHz transverters since they produce a healthy 100mW+ on 38 to 41GHz which becomes the LO driving a harmonic mix...

Re: New from Analog the ADF4371 62Mhz - 32Ghz Synthesizer

Don't forget the output level is quite low so you need a wideband power amp as well, plus don't forget FR4 PCB will present significant challenges at that frequency. The BOM starts to look expensive :o This chip may be appropriate for wideband testgear, but for the ham bands you are best to stay ar...

LOL yes... but I've noticed that just about anything that goes above 10Ghz gets an exponential increase in $ !

Maybe we'll see a price drop over time like many other devices of that ilk.

And it popped up out of the noise and was audible for 5 minutes or so as per pic below. No signal on the meter but the audio was unmistakeable.

VK1RGI seen in QF56if

I've had my IC-910 listening in the VK1 direction and I've seen VK1RGI pop out of the noise on Spectrum lab a few times now :)

Not loud enough to be audible but its there :)

A suggestion that would make your site more valuable to those using search engines.
Use correct International System of Units (SI), especially with regard to MHz GHz etc.
Absolutely right! - thanks for picking that up :)

All fixed now
